I've been putting them off for far too long. It's not going to be all torture, though. I might have some fun. I've already learned a lot. The first topic I'm working on is an issue in the world that is important to you. I picked abortion. I'm really passionate about it and that makes for an interesting paper to read, doesn't it? I've been doing research all summer. I feel really learned about the subject now. I do like to write...essays that is. It's essential to be comfortable with writing and being able to put your thoughts down on paper in and organized and interesting way.
I've learned a lot about writing a good essay this year already in my English 4 class. We've been reading chapters from "Writing with Style" and it's really opened my eyes to the world of writing. It really doesn't have to be a chore! It can be so much fun telling people about my views and why I believe what I believe or think what I think. I used to dread essays more than anything, but now I see them as a challenge.
Actually I probably wouldn't have joined live journal unless I felt so much better about writing. I'm so excited about my new outlook on essay writing and who know...I might begin some creative writing projects and not totally suck. ;)
